Metaphor

We are learning to write metaphors. We need to use metaphor and other language features in our recount and cameo writing to make it more interesting.

Here are some metaphors we have written today about life and feelings.

Happiness is soft, sweet ice-cream. Yummy and cooling on a hot day. - Lightning Bolt

Sadness is a lonely rain drop falling from the dark gloomy sky. - Thunder5000

Relaxation is sunbathing on the hot golden sand. - Pearlgirl

Happiness is a bunch of flowers smelling rosy and refreshing. - Mathsboy

Anger is a grizzly bear trying to find something to eat. - Boo

Life is a maze. You never know how to get out. - Bluebell

Sadness is depressed rain crying softly. - Spotim

Sadness is thick grey fog that blocks your path. - Hootingowl

Relaxation is a lazy deck chair soaking up the sun. - Electron5000

Life is a twirling tornado, you never know when it will strike. - Bob2222

Friendliness is a delicious cake. You have a sprinkle of sweetness, kind icing and a candle of love. - Tecnolg123

Relaxation is a refreshing drink of juice, calm and peaceful. - Peppermint

Love is snuggly cuddles from my caring, cuddly teddy bear. - Minty

Life is a book. You never know what could happen so you have to read on. - Cupcake

Frustration is being in a box and you never know how you will get out. - Archa5000
